Hello again LJ,

As usual, I keep forgetting about you. I wish I had exciting news to say....but I do not.

I have started back hunting for work in the IT world. But am really trying to avoid the corporate hell that I had before.

My photography business is still there but I went from more work than I could handle to it dropping off. And it would be nice to have insurance again!

I have recently gotten ALOT of attention for my VO work, but that still takes time to build up.

Was in charge of volunteers for Day's of the Dead a Horror Convention. Was nice and relaxing. Not too crazy.

This past Friday was a Tim Burton themed event at the old Chamber. It's always so weird to go back there after having spent so much of my younger life there.

Saw many old faces, Got MANY compliments on the Caged Hoop Skirt that I had made for Lindsay for Xmas, It was nice to finally have a reason for her to wear it.

After the event we stopped at a abandoned warehouse at 3 in the morning and did a quick photo shoot to show off the skirt.

Today was spent helping her sister work on her 62' Ford Falcon. Did get it running yet but we will!

So that's about it for a update. And as usual. I will leave you with LOT'S of photos.

Took a small vacation a few weeks ago to the Mountains of N.C.with a bunch of friends. While there I heard stories of an abandoned amusement park at the top of a Ski Slope.

So upon some quick google fu and i was able to quickly locate this theme park. This was a theme park based on the Wizard of Oz Book.

From the WebSite - " OZ was operational from 1970-80, but changing times, economics, liabilities, maintenance, and other interests of its owners, along with the lack of change at OZ, took their toll on the park. Vandalism and nostalgia seekers destroyed much of the remains. Even today, people try to take a "piece" of OZ, to our despair."

In recent years developers have built homes on the grounds surrounding the core of the park. With emphasis on preserving the beauty of the landscape, the gardens and the remaining structures.

After several years of work the yellow brick road had been excavated and repaired, Many of the gazebos and bridges have been restored and Dorothy's house can even be rented in the summer.

Been on the road alot as of recent traveling doing some work.

Also for a small vacation. While I was in the Mountains of N.C. with Lindsay and my other friends I had the opportunity to do a shoot for the Weather Channel.

So i visited my very first ski slope ever. AND went down a double black diamond...Backwards.

Then managed to get in a quick URBEX at a abandoned theme park that was based on the wizard of Oz.The park closed in the 80's but was in remarkable condition.

When i got back I did a photo shoot with some friends. Was alot of fun and crazy time.

LOTS of pics behind the cut Some NSFW due to content )

Well the work in Fla is done. It was a fun quick job and this past week was interesting, I was working on the East Coast so was staying in Daytona Beach. This was my first time ever visiting Daytona... And wow... It really is the RedNeck riviera! :p

But regardless I was being paid to be at the beach! Thankfully it was the off season so there really were not many people there.

I spent the day working and my evenings relaxing by the ocean. Really enjoyed my evening runs out on the beach as well.

Late in the week Lindsay had a meeting in Tampa so she flew down the night before and drove in to Daytona to spend the night with me. Having to drive 3 hours the next morning across the state for her 10am meeting!

She makes me smile.

This upcoming weekend she and I are heading up to the Mountains of N.Carolina with a bunch of our other friends. As much as a workaholic as she is I can't believe that I am getting her away for a long weekend!

I am quite smitten with this girl. But I have had a thing for her for the past 15 - 16 years, Good thing I am patient :P

In other news, I have found my way into working yet another convention. Days of the Dead Horror Convention Somehow I have been placed in charge of all the volunteers. This should be interesting.

So that's life. And I will leave you with a couple of shots from my final night in Fla.

Ok.. This is a rare post from me because honestly its a bit sappy. If you have a problem with that or a snarky comment then just go and remove me because I don't need you here.

While I was out running on the beach just a bit ago, I was listening to VNV Nation and a song came on that I had never really paid attention to the lyrics of until that moment. And they hit me pretty hard. There on the beach with the wind in my face and the ocean in my ears and sight. It brought me to the edge of tears. ( maybe my sugar level is low ) But like the song says.. Those that stood beside me you have my gratitude... And those that turned against me, Hurt me, and were cruel to me... Well like the song says... Thank you ;)
